AUDIT CONSULTANT
Location: Denver, CO
Pay Range: $60,000-$71,250

What We’re Looking For:
  • Bachelors degree in Accounting
  • 0-2 years audit experience, preferably within a CPA firm
  • Internship with CPA firm, preferably in the audit department
  • Knowledge of current audit and accounting concepts
  • Colorado CPA license or eligibility to attain a Colorado CPA license within two years of employment
What You’ll Be Doing:
As an Audit Consultant at Sorren, you will develop client relationships and serve as a trusted advisor. You are responsible for preparing work papers for audits and reviews as well as identifying and communicating potential accounting and audit issues to the engagement Manager or Partner.
Essential Duties:
  • Apply analytical, technical, and auditing skills, including proficiency in US GAAP and GAAS rules and standards
  • Prepares work papers and reports for audits and reviews
  • Complete audit testing on financial statement accounts such as cash, accounts payable, or fixed assets
  • Identifies and communicates potential accounting or audit issues
  • Research and analyze financial statement and audit related issues
  • Acquire a working knowledge of the client’s business while maintaining client confidentiality
  • Evaluate design and implementation of internal controls.
  • Achieve charge hour goals
Competencies:
  • Ability to maintain a high level of accuracy and confidentiality
  • Excellent written communication skills including strong spelling and grammar
  • Excellent verbal and interpersonal communication skills and present a professional image
  • Must be organized and have the ability to set priorities and meet deadlines while working independently
  • Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook and Adobe Reader/Pro
  • Dedication to client service, meets client deliverables both internal and external.
  • Maintains a positive attitude, good communication and working relationship with support staff, colleagues, and supervisors
