Supervising Senior Staff Accountant – Family Office
Location: Colorado Springs, CO
Compensation: $70,000-$91,700
What We’re Looking For:
  • Associate or bachelor’s degree in accounting
  • QuickBooks Certified ProAdvisor (preferred)
  • 5+ years full-charge bookkeeper w/financial statement preparation
  • 5+ years payroll preparation and associated filing experience
  • 5+ years of management/supervisory experience required
  • Advanced level of proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite required
  • Advanced level of proficiency in QuickBooks required

What You’ll Be Doing:
The Supervising Senior Staff Accountant- Family Office will be responsible for providing a dedicated solution for the complex management of high-net-worth individuals’ personal and business finances such as bookkeeping, payroll, administrative and clerical support, as well as miscellaneous tasks and projects as requested by clients.

Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Serve as primary client contact.
  • Provide administrative and bookkeeping support for various Family Office clients which include trusts, estates, partnerships, limited liability companies, S-corporations and private foundations.
  • Manage accounting and administrative day-to-day operations of multiple residences and commercial properties; responsible for account payables and receivables; preparation of bank deposits, recording vendor invoices and preparation of checks and wire transfers.
  • Interface with vendors and financial institutions on day-to-day transactions; oversee cash management and bank account transactions.
  • Reconcile bank, credit card and investment account statements; record journal entries; prepare quarterly and year-end financial statements and other reporting as requested by client or managers/partners.
  • Process payroll with minimal supervision; respond to notices from regulatory agencies.
  • Assist client and tax team in gathering tax documents needed to file accurate tax returns; coordinate with client and tax team in making quarterly estimated or extension payments.
  • Prepare annual Family Office Services engagement letters; coordinate with admin team to deliver to client.
  • Train and mentor associate/senior associates on specialization areas.
  • Schedules and manages the workload of associates/senior associates.
  • Create specialized reports to meet the specific needs of each individual family group.
  • Performs other duties as assigned or as requested by client.
